"My friends and I hired Stasy.

She was extremely professional and at the same time was very warm and friendly. She was concerned that our sightseeing goals would be met. She asked many questions and then combined all of our desires into our two days of sightseeing. She planned everything perfectly and had a complete knowledge of all of the sights that we visited (from the Hermitage to the Summer Palace).

She also planned our dinners and picked perfect restaurants, so that we were able to experience Russian cuisine. At dinner she talked about Russian culture and answered all of our questions about her homeland.

I would highly recommend Stasy to anyone who wants the perfect St. Petersburg vacation. She made our trip an unforgettable experience! "

"I recently visited St Petersburg and enlisted the help of a private guide (Stacy). She assisted me with everything from finding a suitable hotel prior to my trip, to shopping, sightseeing, cultural activities, findings restaurants and even a short break into the mountains for skiing. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely comfortable with her approach which was underpinned with warmth and friendliness (which is only common amongst good friends in Russia).

Stacy’s knowledge of the city was impressive to say the least and there were often facts and rituals she could recite which were not to be found in any city guides or tourist books. As in every culture there are subtle sensitivities that only locals are familiar with.

Stacy was exceptionally helpful in this respect by ensuring that I was aware of them and could blend into society rather than feel the cold shoulder of a local who had been offended by an insensitive foreigner.

With Stacy’s help I also made exceptional and unique experiences which made my trip unforgettable. One of these included a short country trip especially arranged for a “crazy” South African guy that wanted to learn how to Ski at short notice. Another such experience was the traditional Banya and Sushlek! I also visited some local “hang-outs” which were quite “Xtreme”! However, the more subdued activities as can be experienced in the local Jazz clubs and exceptional restaurants balanced my views on the city and it’s great people.

In essence, it was clear to me that Stacy could arrange just about anything I requested from the best opera and ballet performances to the most quaint dinner setting, to a night on the town, to gambling, to a typical neighbourhood (authentic Russian) experience. With Stacy’s help, I also made some business contacts from time to time.

I look forward to returning to St Petersburg soon and will certainly make use of her services again be it for business or leisure. Her professional demeanor, wealth of information and great contacts make her services applicable to business and leisure travelers and she easily caters for singles, groups or families alike."

"We visited St. Petersburg in May and only had two days for sightseeing.  We could not have been in better hands than Stasy's.  Or itinerary included the Hermitaqe, the ballet, the Church of Spilled Blood and Peterhoff and White night\'s cruise.  With her help we did it all!  We highly recommend her services."

" When looking for a private guide in St Petersburg I was very happy to find
Anastasia Obukhova, Stasy. In late June, 2007 Stasy was my guide for
two days - the first day being a comprehensive city tour incl the Hermitage
and the second day a full day tour of Tsarskoye Selo and Peterhof.

I can recommend Stasy to any individual or small group of visitors wanting
a private tour of St Petersburg. Stasy is not only a knowledgeable guide but
also a pleasant and charming person who will make your stay in St Petersburg
a memorable one.
I wish her the best of luck in the future and I will be glad to be of assistance if
anyone wish to contact me in this matter. Stasy can help you get in touch with me by providing my email address.

"My wife and I were very pleased to have Stasy for our guide in beautiful St. Petersburg the last part of October, 2007. We took an overnight train from Vilnius to St. Petersburg and when we stepped off the train there was Stasy to meet us. It was awesome to have someone local with a smile and a car to meet us and not worry about getting to the hotel. That was a nice introduction to the city.
She was our lovely guide for 3 days. One day we drove out of town to Puskin and saw a couple of palaces. The other two days we spent seeing St. Petersburg. Stasy even climbed the stairs of St. Isaac's Cathedral with us. St. Petersburg is a beautiful city but a guide is essential, in my opinion.
What I liked about Stasy was that she was very flexible and accommodating. If we wanted to stop in a cafe and have some local food she would do whatever we wanted. Being able to have this type of experience was fun. I know Stasy thought I took too many pictures but she was patient and a very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. When I lost my cell phone Stasy went to great lenghts to help me find it. Unfortunately, I lost it again in Riga!
You know the tv commercial about the American Express credit card, "Don't leave home with out it." Well, in my opinion, this applies to St. Petersburg. Don't leave home without first arranging Stasy for your guide unless your Russian is a lot better than mine. A guide is important in getting oriented in a city as big as St. Petersburg.
Last comment. I did contact another guide in St. Petersburg from a travel agency and their rates were a lot more than Stasy's.
I felt her rates were very resonable and a bargain and she was very pleasant to be with. I reccommend her!"
